So you want to learn Dungeons and Dragons, well you’re in luck
This Dungeons and Dragons starting guide is an introduction to some of the basic rules, character classes, and stat sheets of Dungeon and Dragons. Note that this starting guide is not a substitute for any official DND starting guide because it only covers the basic of combat, Spellcasting, character creation, and overview character classes features and a list of some interesting subclasses and possible archetypes you can use to roleplay them.
This starting guide will also have the title of the book where you can find each subclass after their brief description if you want to personally own the official material yourself.
This starting guide is made with the 5th edition version of Dungeons and Dragons in mind and will be using the 2024 players handbook and Dungeons masters guide. Due to the way DND beyond works, some classes need you to use the 2014 rule book. So this starting guide will specify the differences between the version of the same classes.
Note, that even though that is how it works on DND beyond that does not mean you can’t have old subclasses with new class feature, it just means you’ll have to play with pen and paper. All classes information comes from books I own personally and have read in my own spare time.
