What is an Artificer
Artificer was who of the first additional classes to be added to the game. Artificers originate from the “Eberron” campaign setting. The world of Eberron is a world that has recently come out of a massive civil war and is currently in a fragile state of peace. Because of technological advancement due to the “last war”. Magic and science had fused into one medium which has led to creation of the Artificer class. Artificers are mechanics and/or blacksmiths with a magical flair that specialise in making or enhancing weapons and equipment.
The Following are Artificer subclasses
- Alchemist: Your field of work has you creating Potions, these potions are experimental, and their effects are randomised but since all effects are positive there is no reason you not use them. (Eberron: Forge of the Artificer)
- Armorer: Your field of work has you creating armour: Your field of work has you creating three different types of armour (one for stealth, one for front line conflict, and one for sieges), in short you become Iron Man. (Eberron: Forge of the Artificer)
- Artillerist: Your field of work has you creating Eldritch Cannons, you can either carry this Cannon or have it on its own. The Cannon can heal, burn, or blast your foes away. (Eberron: Forge of the Artificer)
- Battle Smith: Your field of work has you creating a robot companion. This “Steal Defender” can assist you and your allies in combat. (Eberron: Forge of the Artificer)
- Cartographer: Your field of work has you creating Magical Maps, these maps besides getting you into combat faster also show the real time locations to all other map holders which allows you and your to cast spells on those map holders without line of sight. You also learn how to teleport. (Eberron: Forge of the Artificer)
