Fighter DND character class

What is a fighter

Fighters are the masters of combat and weapons. Fighter are one of the easiest of the classes to learn and the recommended starting class. Fighters have a certain number of uses of a self-healing option called “second wind” relating to their level. Fighter also have a “Action surge” that allows them to take a second action during combat, they can use this feature a limited number of times depending on their spell level. It is to be said that fighters are a struggle to enjoy outside of combat, so do keep that in mind when choosing this class.

The following are fighter subclasses; 

  • Battle Master: Learn some special “Manoeuvrers” that are powered by your “superiority dice” and master the battlefield. (Player’s Handbook 2024) 
  • Champion: This class is the Fighter+, all your skills are enhanced. (Player’s Handbook 2024) 
  • Eldritch Knight: Become a spell caster and sling the spells alongside your weapon strikes. (Player’s Handbook 2024) 
  • Psi Warrior: Who said brains and brawns cannot be in the same person, you gain psychic powers to aid you in battle. (Player’s Handbook 2024) 
  • Purple Dragon Knight: Aid your allies in battle with your expertise. (Sword coast adventurer’s guide) 
  • Arcane Archer: Infuse your arrows with magical powers and give them their own unique effects. (Xanathar’s Guide to Everything) 
  • Cavalier: You become an expert of mounted combat. (Xanathar’s Guide to Everything) 
  • Samurai: Your fighting spirit makes you a formidable foe and temporary fend off fatal wounds. (Xanathar’s Guide to Everything) 
  • *Echo Knight: A critical role original, this subclass allows you to summon the fading shades of unrealized timelines to aid you in battle. (Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount) 
  • Rune Carver: Learn some Giant Runes that that allows to gain some traits of the giants and gain the ability grow to their size. (Tasha’s Cauldron to everything) 
  • Steel hawk: These fighters watched revenge of the Sith and learned that high ground rules. So, they worked on gaining the ability to “jump good” so that they can have a portable high ground and deliver death from above. (The Griffons Saddlebag: Book two) 
  • *The Spirit Fused: Your body becomes the vessel of a dying spirit, you can “channel” this spirits energy into everyday objects to turn them into deadly weapons. (Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass) 
  • Dungeoneer: Become the master of dungeon navigation and exploration. (Valda’s spire of secrets) 
  • Banneret: Your expertise is in group combat. Your presence is a boon to the party. (Forgotten realms: heroes of Faerûn)
  • Bulwark Warrior: Protect you allies by becoming a human shield, but seeing how tuff you might as well be considered a human wall. (Grim Hollows: player pack) 
  • Living Crucible: Enhanced both your body and martial prowess with alchemy and potions. (Grim Hollows: player pack) 
  • Nightwatcher: Becoming master at spotting trouble and starting combat. (Grim Hollows: player pack)
